Apogaea reserves a limited number of full-price tickets to fill crucial volunteer slots. These tickets are used as a last resort if we are unable to fill some of the more difficult shifts through the volunteer database. If all volunteer shifts are filled during the regular volunteer sign up period, the reserved tickets will not be used. All unused reserved tickets will be released to the public in the Last Chance sale on May 10th.
For volunteers with requiring special training:
BAMF: 64 tickets

Rangers: 30 tickets
»You must have: a willingness to serve our community, at least one year of Ranger experience, attend Ranger training, work at least 3 shifts (15 hours) during the event (one overnight, one regular shift) and all Rangers are asked to work burn nights. You must agree to remain sober during all shifts, stay in radio contact, maintain the community trust in rangers, wear logoed Ranger costume, and in times of crisis, you will be asked to secure your camp and their safety and then report to center camp to help other participants. Fire Conclave: 10 tickets
»You must be a member of A-Con, the Apogaea conclave.
Grill assistant: 1 ticket
»This ticket has been reserved for a particular community member in lieu of a Spark position
DPW: 40 tickets
»DPW has 30 reserved tickets for Work Weekend and 10 for Exodus. Work Weekend volunteers must work on heavy labor projects for the entire weekend and Exodus volunteers work from 12-6 on Sunday. For more information, send an email to [email protected]
For volunteers without special training:
Gate: 25 tickets
»Must work three shifts, at least two of them with gate. The third shift can be with any other department. Cotact the Gate Crew at [email protected]
Parking: 20 tickets
»Must work an exodus shift and 1 other shift in any other department or sign up for a shuttle driver for 7 shifts 1 a day. To find out more information, send an email to [email protected]
TOTAL RESERVED TICKETS: 192 Full price reserved tickets are currently being held. If these are not spoken for by May 1st, they will be released in the last chance sale.
Ignition membership has been locked for the year, but there are still some Spark positions available. These volunteer positions require more work than a regular volunteer shift, but as a token of our appreciation, you will receive a $50 ticket to Apo. Some open Spark Positions are posted on our website. In addition, the following departments have Spark openings. Contact the department directly to inquire about these positions:

Rangers – 8 Spark tickets are available through the Ranger Exchange Program (Rangers from other regions come in to learn and teach us how to serve our community better). In most cases, these are Black Rock Rangers with 5 years or more experience. [email protected]

305 Ignition and Spark tickets have been reserved.
Ignition members and Sparks must purchase their tickets by May 1st or they will be released into the last chance sale. If you are an Ignition Member or Spark and have yet not received your ticket code, please send an email to [email protected] TODAY.
Overall, the board held 673 tickets back from the first two rounds of ticket sales. These were:
- 174 Ignition tickets ($50)
- 131 Spark tickets ($50)
- 192 Full price reserved tickets for difficult volunteer slots ($115)
- 2 tickets for the Theme and Ticket Art Contest winners (1 for each contest – FREE)
- 66 Youth and Scholarship tickets ($50)
- 100 tickets for granted artists ($115)
- 4 tickets for Burning Man representatives to attend Apogaea ($50)
- 4 tickets for the landowner of our potential new land (2 – FREE or 4 – $50)
The board also voted to provide 20 donated tickets to BAMF for burn night staffing. These will come out of the unused full-price reserves.
All unused tickets will be released to the general public in the last chance ticket sale at full price ($115).
If none of these options work for you, the best way to find a ticket is in the Apogaea Facebook group. There is an online document in that group for community members who are looking for a ticket or who have a ticket to sell. PLEASE DO NOT PAY OVER FULL PRICE FOR A TICKET. If you pay more than full price, you are encouraging scalping.
