The Apogaea Board of Directors understands our community has been anxious to hear from us regarding the early shutdown of the 2025 Apogaea event. We appreciate your patience. We will release our After Action Report (AAR) and an accompanying board statement during the first week of February. These documents will outline what transpired in 2025 and the steps the Board of Directors is taking to strengthen our systems and practices to support a successful 2026 event.
This process took time to allow a leader from Burning Man’s Emergency Services Department to speak with those directly involved in the 2025 shutdown and provide recommendations to reduce operational risk for Apogaea in 2026. The Board is currently working with critical department leads to implement the recommended actions.
