Did you like the art at Apogaea this year? It was truly an amazing year for art as well as for the Art Committee. They read through 144 applications this year – a 2.25% increase from last year! How’d they do that, you might ask?
There were significant changes in the grant process for 2014. There were higher grant amounts, milestone payments (money paid to artists once a pre-determined project milestone was reached), food items were eligible and most notably, the Grant Rubic was modified to have more scoring categories. The Art Committee also had to work with new insurance and safety requirements.
The Art Committee has been back to work, creating not only the end of year report, but preparing for Apogaea 2015. For more information on just hard the Art Committee worked to bring out such amazing art this year, check out the end of year report.
