Tickets FAQ

Questions about Tickets?

Q: I didn’t get a ticket how can I get one? When will more tickets be on sale?

A: Find a community member that can’t go and they can change the name linked to their ticket to yours through Brown Paper Tickets by calling 1-800-838-3006. The original ticket buyer has to call BPT themselves to make the change and they may need their credit card number or confirmation number. Ask to change the name on the attendee list. If you get a customer service person that doesn’t know what to do ask to speak to someone who does. It’s not in their normal procedures but they CAN do it.

Do not buy scalpers tickets (anything above face value+original fees ($83.80). We will void tickets that are sold through scalping and you will not get in.

Some community members have created this list for people looking for or having tickets:

Q: How can I gift / sell my ticket to another person?

A: Give them the physical ticket. Call BPT 1-800-838-3006 and have the name on the attendee list changed the new ticket holders name. Have the new ticket holder bring ID that matches the name that is linked to the ticket.

Q: If I volunteer / put on a workshop / perform can I get a ticket?

A: No, Everyone must purchase a ticket.

Q: I don’t know if my name is on my ticket / if I’m on the attendee / will call list?

A: Contact BPT or fill this out: Guywire’s ticket name form

Q: I didn’t get a ticket because they sold out / I missed it / I can’t afford it / etc. Can I get a ticket if I volunteer / sell you a baby / lick your feet.?
A: No.

Q: I don’t see my name on my ticket, how do I know who can get in the gate?
A: Your name is not actually printed on the ticket. Think of it like will call, the gate will have a list of all the names that were put down when you bought the tickets. If your name isn’t on the list, you’re not getting in. Your ID matched with the list is what gets you in the gate, not your ticket.

Q: I have a bunch of my closest friends that would love to go to Apogaea but they haven’t made plans / gotten organized / don’t have money / don’t live here / are from another planet, can I buy them tickets in my name and if they make up their mind / get their act together then I can give them tickets?

A: No. Apogaea requires planning. Also, ticket hoarding is a great problem for festivals like ours, so we will not permit ticket hoarding. When you buy tickets you will be limited to 2 tickets per transaction and you’ll have to put the names of each person on the ticket. If you have to correct the name for a ticket, call Brown Paper Tickets  1-800-838-3006

Q: I thought there was ticket reselling through BPT?

A: It turns out this won’t work, so it was disabled.

Q: What’s this about a quiz?
A: There’s some important stuff in the survival guide that you should know. Read it. Be prepared. Also, it takes up some time so scalpers and hoarders can’t buy all the tickets before you get yours.

Q: How many tickets can I buy?
A: 2 tickets per transaction, so you can wait in line, and buy again for your friends. You still have to put their names on the tickets.

Q: The ticket I got in the mail says Brown Paper Tickets. Where’s the cool art ticket that Kemo designed?

A: You’ll exchange your BPT ticket for a cool art ticket at the gate. And probably get a pretty cool wristband too. And a spanking if you want it. And then another spanking at the greeters if you want that. And etc….

Q: I’m 18, do I need a guardian?
A: No, but you can’t drink and you will get an under 21 wristband. You also need to buy a regular ticket.

Q: I’m under 18, do I need a ticket?
A: Yes, unless you’re 12 or under you need a ticket. You also need a guardian to watch you like a hawk all the time.

Q: Why are you such jerks?

A: See Apogaea Security Squad. Also, Fuck yer day! And drink more water.
