Anyone with a level head and positive spirit can make a large difference in how fun and safe the event is for others, but a little bit of preparation can go a long way toward focusing those skills and improving communication in this often-delicate art.
This training is available to anyone in the Apogaea community who is interested in Rangering, learning Rangerly skills, or just better understanding how the Ranger department serves the community.
If you wish to volunteer as a Ranger at Apogaea, you must attend a training each year, unless you Rangered at Burning Man in 2014 and have been a Black Rock Ranger for at least two years.
Door will be open at 9am, class starts at 9:30.
Bring a pen and notebook, plus something to keep you hydrated. A snack to share and lunch are optional but recommended.
