2010 theme is “Artropolis” …let your inspiration flow!
If you’re interested in submitting a proposal to build the effigy, please apply to [email protected] by February 26, 2010!
In your application, include:
- Design description, including materials, construction, size, and transportation plans,
- You and your team’s capabilities and qualifications,
- What you need or want from Apogaea to complete your project (including detailed funding and costs),
- Plans for what you’ll do with the piece if we’re unable to burn it, and
- Safety considerations and danger mitigation plans.
All effigy decisions, design, and burn status are subject to land and fire restrictions.
Apogaea has grant funds available to help build the effigy; the grant amount will be decided by the Apogaea Creative Committee and the Apogaea Board based on budget and design. The Creative Committee and the Apogaea Board will make the final effigy choice. Winners will be announced the week of March 8, 2010.
